Is pedestrian turnstile installation difficult? What should you pay attention to? Today, let me walk you through the key points to consider during turnstile installation.
Installation Precautions
1. Read the User Manual: Ensure you carefully read the user manual before starting installation.
2. Correct Placement: Arrange the turnstiles correctly in sequence. The gates on both sides of each passage should align properly.
3. Outdoor Installation: If installed outdoors, construct a 100–200mm high cement platform for moisture resistance and install a canopy or other sun and rain protection.
4. Grounding: Properly connect the system's protective grounding wire.
5. Cable Testing: Test each network cable and ensure connections are correct to avoid damaging fuses or control boards.
6. Power Testing: Only proceed with power testing after verifying that the wiring is correct and there are no short circuits.
7. Operational Testing: After installation, conduct functionality and status checks to confirm the system operates correctly before putting it into use.
8. Contact Technical Support: If any issues arise during installation, promptly contact technical support for resolution.
Turnstile Installation Steps
1. Prepare Tools: Gather necessary tools, including a hammer drill, expansion screws, adjustable wrench, hex wrench set, screwdriver, electrical tape, wire strippers, multimeter, and network cable tester. Check the packing list and keep all components safe.
2. Plan Installation: Determine the number of channels, passage widths, and working modes. Plan the overall setup for the designated installation area.
3. Foundation Preparation: Level the foundation surface and arrange the turnstiles in sequence, following the alphabetic markings inside the machine's top cover (e.g., A1-A2-A3-A4 on one side, a1-a2-a3-a4 on the other side). Ensure proper alignment to avoid inconvenience.
4. Drill Expansion Bolt Holes: Mark expansion bolt holes at the base of the turnstiles, drill the holes using a hammer drill, and embed M12 expansion bolts.
5. Cable Routing: Determine cable routing paths, dig trenches for conduits, and install appropriate PVC conduits. Each passage requires the following:
- One AC220V power cable (RVV3×1.5mm)
- Two network cables (Cat5e or higher)
- One motor cable (RVV2×1.0mm)
- One access control cable (if access control, payment systems, or other control systems are used, lay additional cables as required based on the actual site conditions).
Refer to wiring guidelines for dual-channel swing or flap turnstiles when planning the cabling.
